Abiqua Irrigation and Backflow L.L.C. is family owned and operated. As the owner I have an extensive background in water systems. My whole adult career has been working with various types of water systems. In 2003 I began my career as a drain technician for a rooter company. I learned the ins and outs of sewer and drain work. When the owner closed the company I went to work for a friend of his doing basement sump pump and exterior drainage systems. I learn how to install basement dewatering systems and design/build exterior drains. Then an opportunity to work closer to home and spend more time with my family presented itself. In 2006 I settled into an irrigation role at a local golf course. During my time at the golf course I learned everything from repair, installation to flow rates and design. When my kids reached the age they could stay home after school unsupervised. I started exploring new opportunities and growth potential. In 2015 I was offered a role at a local landscape company as a lead irrigation technician/ division manager. Right away I saw a lack of skilled people in that industry. Most of the irrigation technicians were/are landscape laborers who were handed the role. The lack of true qualified professionals was amazing to me. I soon began planning to start a business to fill this need. I knew in my heart I had the skill set to provide a superior service. From this Abiqua Irrigation and Backflow L.L.C. was born.
